Orangeville Biblical Counseling is a ministry of Orangeville Baptist Church in Plainwell, Michigan. We exist to help people who are hurting and struggling to be transformed to look and live more like Jesus Christ.
You will find that our counselors are determined to bring compassionate care and biblically wise and practical solutions to the painful difficulties you are facing.
All of our counselors go through a rigorous Biblical counseling training program and have a wealth of experience helping people through similar issues to your own.
Who Can Come?
OBC offers counseling to individuals and couples.
How Much Does It Cost?
There is no cost for counseling at OBC. Our counseling services are provided for free to our community.
What Can I Expect?
Biblical answers to life’s challenges. The counselor will help you think through life’s struggles from a biblical perspective with the goal of honoring God as well as encouraging you to change and grow in Christ.
We’ll assign homework to complete between your weekly counseling sessions. The assignments are meant to encourage lasting change.
We ask that you are open to learning and willing to invest time and energy to apply God’s Word to your life. Remember, habits are not developed overnight, and new habits will take time to develop. In most cases, we ask individuals to commit to regular counseling appointments for a period of 3-4 months.
Is It Confidential?
Confidentiality is respected. A case may be discussed with other counselors, pastors, or professionals, but only to the degree necessary to find further biblical solutions to the problem. All such consultations are conducted with the highest standards of ethics. Because the training of new mentors involves the opportunity to observe another mentor in actual counseling sessions, we ask that you agree to allow a person or couple who is in training to sit in on your counseling sessions.
Are Your Counselors Licensed By The State?
No. Our counselors are trained in the use of the Scriptures in counseling settings.
Is Childcare Provided?
Childcare is not available during counseling sessions. Please make other arrangements for your children.
